Our story began after purchasing mystery stationery boxes from overseas. We instantly fell in love with the experience. The excitement, the surprise, and that feeling of opening a gift where you don’t quite know what’s inside… but know you’re going to love it. We wanted to bring that same magic to Australia, creating something that feels like a cozy, “treat yourself” moment every time it arrives.
Our Story
The Reading Desk is a small, family-run business created by Ben and Brittany, and run from our home (yes, currently from our garage!). Behind the scenes, our little team also includes our son Zach, our labradoodle Teddy, and Billy the bearded dragon.
As lifelong lovers of books and stationery, it was incredibly important to us to do things differently. We’ve partnered directly with factories to carefully source our products which allows us to ensure better quality, ethical conditions, and most importantly, bring you more
value at an affordable price.
